Jazz performance at Blue Alley,
Washington D.C.

A great evening at Blues Alley – perhaps the best place for Jazz in Washington D.C.

Poncho Sanchez was performing his Latino jazz with his band of eight, and each one was at his best. But I thought Andy Langham, the pianist was simply extraordinarily yesterday night. His figures captured all the sensitivity and romance of the Latino jazz. Very touching.

We had the best of the tables close to the Band. Thanks to my son in law Robbie who did all the bookings. We were twelve that included Robbies mom, brothers and their families. We did a group photo outside – right after the concert was over.

It was a wonderful evening with Poncho Sanchez. Visit http://www.ponchosanchez.com/unflashed.html
